Ju Rhyu is the co-founder (and formerly CEO) of Hero Cosmetics, a brand focused on reimagining acne care and is best known for their Mighty Patch hydrocolloid acne patches. 

Founded in 2017, Hero Cosmetics is now the #1 brand in acne patches and the #1 brand in acne care in the US with over 20 award-winning products. Hero products are sold in over 17,000 points of distribution in 2023 and are consistently #1 in beauty and personal care on Amazon. In October 2022, Hero Cosmetics was acquired by Church and Dwight for $630M and is now a part of their Specialty Hair and Skincare portfolio. 

Ju received the CEW 2022 Female Founder Award, was named one of the 50 people to shape fashion and beauty in 2022 by The Glossy, and was included in the Inc. Magazine 2019 Female Founders 100 list. She was also part of the 2023 Create and Cultivate 100 list in the Beauty category. She is a graduate of Brown University and Columbia Business School.
