Job Board FAQs
How can I get access to COIN, the Career Opportunity Information Network?
When you log onto COIN using your UNI and password, you will automatically have access to the Job Board. After logging on, please select “Jobs” on the left margin under the Jobs & Careers tab. Logging onto COIN requires your UNI, which you can recover here. If you are still having trouble, please contact Alumnicareers@gsb.columbia.edu.
Should I use the job board on MyCBS or COIN?
Alumni can access the Columbia Business School job board in at least two ways. Primary access is through COIN, now powered by VMock. Secondary access is via MyCBS. Employers upload listings directly to COIN; listing targeted to Alumni filter to MyCBS. Applying for a role on MyCBS will lead you back to COIN.
My UNI and password are correct, why can't I login?
Make sure to log on through Columbia Business School's VMock landing page or via the new COIN portal.
What's the difference between COIN and VMock?
COIN is powered by VMock so that when you log on to COIN, you will do so through the VMock landing page. COIN, the Career Opportunity Information Network, hosts the job board for Columbia Business School. VMock is a third-party service that powers COIN.
Why can't I see the job board after logging on COIN?
If you graduated from CBS before COIN moved to VMock, your profile may have lost access to Jobs on COIN. If you log on to COIN and do not see “Jobs” on the left margin of the dashboard, then please reach out to Alumnicareers@gsb.columbia.edu.
Why do I have to fill out a survey when I want to review the job postings?
The first time you view the Job Board on COIN, you will be prompted to complete a survey of your interests. Doing so allows the platform to highlight jobs that may be of greatest interest to you. It does not restrict your ability to see all the jobs that are posted.
