Andrew S. Gundlach ’01

Mr. Gundlach is the President and co-CEO of Bleichroeder LP. Bleichroeder LP is the successor of Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Holdings, Inc., which was renamed First Eagle Holdings in 2015 after private equity funds managed by The Blackstone Group and Corsair Capital acquired a controlling stake in the company, a transaction Mr. Gundlach initiated.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gundlach was a founding partner of Artemis Advisors, a hedge fund backed with a strategic investment from insurance company, XL Capital of Bermuda, and also worked earlier in his career in the corporate finance and M&A departments of Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan.

Mr. Gundlach is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, where he serves on the Investment Committee. As an adjunct professor at the Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing, he teaches courses on investing, and currently serves on the School’s Board. He received his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2001 and his BS and MS degrees from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in 1993 and 1994.
