Meet the 2016 Forbes 30 Under 30 CBS AlumnaeSteph Korey '15, co-founder of Away

After managing supply chains at Warby Parker and Casper, Steph Korey '15 co-founded Away, a direct-to-consumer company that produces high-quality luggage at an affordable price. Korey emphasized the importance of building a strong team from the beginning. "We all set huge goals for ourselves and we have fun while working hard to reach those goals."

"Once you identify a problem that needs to be solved, be thoughtful about the broader impact of the company you're starting," Korey cautioned. "Having a net positive impact, not just for shareholders, but also for employees, customers, and the greater community isn't just the right thing to do, it's good for business, too."

Jordana Kier '14, co-founder of LOLA

Jordana Kier '14 attributes her confidence and foresight to tackle a stigmatized industry for her inclusion in the Forbes 30 Under 30 List. Her subscription-based feminine care company, LOLA, offers 100% hypoallergenic natural cotton tampons created without additives, dyes, chemicals or synthetics. Kier founded LOLA in an effort to provide a better feminine care experience in a relatable, straightforward and transparent way.

"We see women spending in line with their beliefs, recognizing that they deserve to know what is in their product, which was something they have never had a chance to do in this category prior to LOLA," Kier said. "Our grand vision is to provide every product for all women throughout their entire reproductive cycle," Kier explained. "We want to empower women to make proactive and informed decisions about everything they put in their bodies."
