Karthik Challa is currently enrolled in the M.S. program in Management Science and Engineering with analytics concentration track at the IEOR Department, Columbia University. Before enrolling in the program, he worked as an Intern Data Analyst, Software Engineer and Data Scientist. Currently, Karthik is also working as a technical lead part-time (operation consulting course) for a data science project for Kearney. He earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology concentrated mainly on programming, problem solving with Python, Java, C, C++.  Karthik’s core undergraduate subjects include Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Machine learning,  and Software Engineering. His technical strengths include the following programming languages: Python, Java, C, R, and SQL.   He has experience with the following data science techniques: Deep Learning, Machine learning, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Data Visualization. He has extensive experience working with the following packages: NumPy, Pandas, Keras, Tensorflow, BeautifulSoup, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, Seaborn, ggplot2, geoplotlib, plotly, spacy. He has good experience with the following statistical approaches: F-test, T-test, Linear Correlation and Regression Analysis, ANOVA, hypothesis testing. In the past, He has worked with the following databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Oracle, SQLite, and Firebase.

He is especially good at Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, SQL, Web Scraping, data-visualization, data-merging, shaping, and can help with most general, data-analytic tasks. He hopes to get a job in Analytics and Software Engineering after graduating.  See here for his resume.
