Shruti Bhat is currently enrolled in the M.S. program in Business Analytics at Engineering school and Business School, Columbia University. Before enrolling in the program, she worked as a Risk and Data analyst at a high frequency trading firm, Data Analyst intern at a financial firm and Business Analyst intern at a brokerage firm. She earned her undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Her technical strengths include the following programming languages: Python, R, Bash (Shell Scripting), VBA. She has experience with the following data science techniques: machine Learning – supervised learning (SVM, random forest, decision trees), unsupervised learning (clustering) and NLP (text mining, sentiment analysis). She has extensive experience working with the following packages: pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, plotly, Beautiful Soup, NLTK. She has also worked on various data visualization tools like: Tableau and PowerBI. She has some experience with the following statistical approaches: GLM, linear and logistic regression and time series analysis. In the past, she has worked with the following databases: SQL, SQL Server.

She is especially good at data pre-processing, data modeling and data visualization but can help with most general, data-analytic tasks. She hopes to get a job in data analytics/data science after graduating.  See here for her resume.
