European Opportunities: From Fund Raising to Deal Making

This paper introduces the panelists for the 2005 Droege-Chazen Equity Forum. The discussion may be summed up as follows. Despite the unfamiliar legal structures, in particular jurisdictional variations in taxation and contrat law, diverse market fundamentals, and the sometimes meager choice of exit options, crisscrossing the Altantic in search of the next big deal is becoming every more popular.
