Jackson G. Lu PhD '18, had his research highlighted in the Economist article, The bamboo ceiling: Indian v Chinese bosses in America Inc (Economist, 2/28/2020). Professor Lu was a recipient of CJEB’s Doctoral Fellowship during his time as a student at Columbia Business School. He is now the Mitsui Career Development Assistant Professor of the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He presented on his research about why there are few East Asians among America’s business elite at CJEB’s seminar on February 25, titled, "The Invisible Minority: Are Asians Under-Represented in Leadership Positions in the United States?" as part of CJEB’s newly launched program called the Japanese Management Leadership Program.
