Jackson G. Lu PhD '18, Sloan School Career Development Associate Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management and a recipient of CJEB’s Doctoral Fellowship, has been featured in a new Nikkei article 《「竹の天井」が広く浸透　米国で東アジア系の初任給低く》   

His most recent research, published in the prestigious Journal of Applied Psychology, reveals a Bamboo Ceiling in starting salaries, whereby ethnic East Asians tend to have lower starting salaries than others in the US partly because they are disinclined to negotiate due to higher relational concerns. This research challenges the "model minority" stereotype of Asians in the US.
