Manuel Hein '16

Chazen Institute Board
Jerome A. Chazen Institute for Global Business
Founding Partner
Heing® Venture Architects
Manuel Hein

Manuel Hein is the founding partner of Heing® Venture Architects, a globally operating venture platform. Heing® targets ventures with transformative strategies that revitalize incumbent industries, ensuring they deliver tangible impact on the UN Sustainable Development Goals as well as substantial returns. All projects are secured by an early order book, transforming concepts into execution-ready projects with embedded returns.

Heing® Venture Architects’ flagship project aims to establish a leading green aluminum platform in Europe, advancing the circular economy and leveraging a groundbreaking, ultra-low carbon technology stack. Manuel is driving the strategic vision behind this transformative agenda, demonstrating his commitment to creating ventures that align with environmental and social responsibility.

Before starting Heing®, Manuel built his entrepreneurial career advising on all aspects of financing for small- and medium-sized enterprises. With a pragmatic, results-driven, and value-focused approach, he helped portfolio companies achieve superior and purposeful growth. Further, he has served as an interim GP for a Luxembourg-based growth equity fund focused on cleantech, and led buy-side search operations for a team of investors.

An MBA graduate from Columbia Business School, Manuel is driven by a philosophy of metanoia—the belief in constantly reimagining and challenging existing paradigms to build high-performing companies. His personal pursuits include mountaineering, culinary arts, global travel, and training for a private pilot’s license.
