Capturing the Best Possible Content

If you have a photo shoot, video shoot, or any other content creation opportunity coming up, we can help you develop the most compelling stories possible.

We can help you with projects across a variety of mediums, including YouTube videos, podcast creation and promotion, serialized videos, important speaker events and/or campus visits, and other types of content related to the five pillars.

Self Service

Creating Your Own Content?

You'll need these resources:

  • Creative brief to help you create actionable goals.
  • Location guide to help you find the best places on campus for your photo or video shoot.
  • Release form to make sure you have the right permissions to capture content. Anytime you plan to capture photos or videos of people, it’s a best practice to have them sign a release form. Print them out beforehand and have your subjects sign them before you begin the shoot.

Event Signage and Templates

  • Branded Zoom Background for Events (Adobe Illustrator file)
  • Printed Promotional Signage (order from Columbia Print)
    • Example A
    • Example B
  • Panel/Lecture Background Slide (PowerPoint file)
  • "Register Here" Poster (order from Columbia Print)
    • Example
  • "Reserved" Flyer
  • Quick Flyer, for any day-of needs such as updated directions

Social Media Takeovers

Columbia Business School’s main social media channels are available to student groups or centers and programs that wish to promote a live event or share compelling content from CBS' accounts. This provides groups with the broader reach and influence of the school’s branded channels and provides greater visibility and reach into previously untapped audiences.

Before submitting your request, please make sure you review our guidelines.

Help From Marcomms

Given the large number of events taking place at CBS each semester, and our limited resources on the Marcomms team, we are unable to arrange for individual event promotions or help drive registrations or sign-ups ahead of time for events.

However, we may be able to promote events on-site or after the fact, and we are usually able to focus on highlighting each month’s events in a general post on social media. If you would like help with your event, or want us to include it in our monthly promotion, please complete all sections of the CBS event promotion request form. Missing information will prevent our team from being able to adequately support your event.

If you need assistance from us, please complete and submit the Request Event Promotion Request form at least three weeks prior to the event to provide ample time for our team to prepare.
