Ideal Client: Specialist in working with internationals returning to the US market.

Janet Raiffa is a career advisor and resume writer with over 15 years of experience as a recruiter for investment banking (Goldman Sachs), consulting (PWC & BCG), law (Orrick Herrington), and startups. She runs Resumemama.com, a resume writing service which assists jobseekers and career switchers from high school and college students to senior executives. From 2009-2015, she worked as a career coach and career advisor for full-time MBA students at Columbia Business School, and now works with current MBAs at Wharton and Yale SOM. As a career advisor at CBS, she focused on students interested in careers in investment banking, private wealth management, sales & trading, and other finance specialties, and served as a liaison to the Investment Banking Club and Wealth Management Clubs.

Janet focuses on practical guidance and collateral material for the job search process versus skills assessment, work life balance, and leadership development. This includes helping clients modernize and target resumes, helping older jobseekers to “youthen” their resumes, guiding internationals in “Americanizing” their resumes, and working with applicants to “returnship” programs. She writes and revises Linked-In profiles, and advises clients on how they work in conjunction with resumes, and also writes and edits cover letters. As a former recruiter, Janet also conducts mock interviews with inside knowledge and a focus on helping candidates build confidence. Given her expertise in campus recruiting, Janet also works with many children of CBS alumni as they navigate internship, full-time post college, and early career hiring processes.
