Ideal Client: Charly has worked with hundreds of experienced professionals in transition, many of them international.

Charly’s coaching draws upon his extensive experience in banking, capital markets, derivatives, hedge funds, and consulting. Charly helped found Citi’s derivatives business, and the World Bank establish its swap program. He subsequently built different capital markets businesses at First Chicago (now part of JPMorgan Chase-currency swaps), S.G. Warburg (now part of UBS-private placements and gold swaps), HSBC (derivatives marketing) and Rabobank (credit derivatives). He co-headed the Credit Risk Management consulting practice at Deloitte & Touche, and was SVP at FRM, a premier UK fund of hedge funds (now part of Man Group). As a consultant and expert witness, he serves many premier financial institutions and regulatory agencies.

Charly has been a career coach at Columbia Business School since 2008, and has worked with hundreds of experienced professionals in transition, many of them international. He is noted for his genuine interest, clarity of process, and candid advice. He has taught Negotiating Skills for Women for Barnard and Smith alumnae, and Leadership in Deal-Making for the Leadership Center at Columbia. He helps clients develop leadership skills, implement transition and promotion strategies, conduct effective networking, and achieve success within a work-life balance.

He is a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), Capital Markets Credit Analysts Society (CMCAS), Fixed Income Analyst Society (FIASI), Association for Talent Development (ATD-NYC), and National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI-NYC).
