Heatherly Born

5th Generation
W.C. Bradley Family member
Heatherly Born, 5th Generation W.C. Bradley Family member

Mother, Teacher, and Doula

Overwhelmed and often paralyzed throughout her life by the contradictions of a value set that is misaligned with the accumulation of her family’s wealth and philanthropy, Heatherly has greatly increased her participation in her family’s enterprise over the last decade. Often as the dissenting voice challenging the status quo, Heatherly has taken on a variety of leadership roles including serving on the family advisory, and family foundation boards. In her current position on the board of her family’s foundation, Heatherly’s decisions are steered by a commitment to racial and wealth justice and her belief that people with access to resources have an important role to play in wealth redistribution.

Heatherly received her B.A. in Art History from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and her M.A. in Urban Studies from the San Francisco Art Institute. Through her research and activism, Heatherly continues to explore how art can be used as a tool to create social changes.

Heatherly also has her Master's in Teaching and worked as a high school Special Educator in public schools for over 10 years.
