Mike Reed
Mike Reed joined GateHouse Media, the predecessor company to New Media, in January of 2006 as Chief Executive Officer. He has also been a member of the board of directors since October 2006. Previously, Mr. Reed served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc., or “CNHI”, a leading publisher of local news and information, following a term as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, he worked for Park Communications, Inc., a multimedia company located in Ithaca, NY. Mike formerly served on several Boards of Directors, including the Newspaper Association of America, the Associated Press, where he was Chairman of the Audit Committee, the University of Alabama’s College of Communication and Information Sciences, and Gracy College Journalism School. Mr. Reed currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, which he joined in 2009.
