Vindi Banga
Vindi joined CD&R in 2010 after a 33-year career at Unilever, where he served as executive board member and president of Global Foods, Home & Personal Care businesses. He was also responsible for Unilever’s sustainability agenda. Previously, Banga served as president of Home & Personal Care Asia and as chairman and managing director of Unilever’s operating company in India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. Banga chairs CD&R’s Sustainability Council and played the lead operating role on the firm’s investments in Diversey and Mauser Group. He has served on the investment teams for B&M Retail, Wm. Morrison Supermarkets, and OCS, and played a key role in the establishment of the firm’s joint venture in India. Banga was appointed chair of the Council at Imperial College London in April 2024; he also serves as chair of UK Government Investments, appointed by the UK Chanceller of the Exchequer. Banga is the senior independent non-executive director on the board of Haleon plc, and previously was senior independent director of Marks and Spencer plc, GSK plc, and chair of Marie Curie. Banga is a non-executive director of The Economist Group Board in 2020. Banga has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management and a BTech in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
