Recognizing the value of MBA talent to the public and nonprofit sectors, the class of 2005 pledged its class gift of $502,593 to the School’s Loan Assistance Program. The program is designed to help alleviate the financial burden of repaying student loans while pursuing a career in the public and nonprofit sectors, where demand for MBA talent is high but salaries low. This class gift affirms the importance of promoting MBA careers in such fields as international development, education, health care, the environment and the arts. The donation provides seed funding for an endowment that will partially fund loan repayment and thus encourage MBAs to pursue management and leadership positions in the public and nonprofit sectors.
