The Columbia Business School student team was awarded first place prize in the Case Study category of Turnaround Management Association's (TMA's) 2010 Carl Marks Student Paper Competition.The student team, consisting of Molly Bennard ('10), Kevin Sayles ('10), Ronald Schulhof ('10), Julie Thaler ('10) and John Wolff ('10), submitted the winning paper entitled "Restructuring Crocs, Inc.." They are the latest team in a winning streak by Columbia teams since 2007. Their academic advisor on the paper was Professor Laura B. Resnikoff ('76). First ($3,000 USD) and second ($1,500) place prizes in each paper category will be presented at TMA’s 2010 Annual Convention, October 6-8, 2010, in Orlando, FL. The TMA, headquartered in Chicago, is the only international nonprofit association dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management.
