A Columbia Business School team took home the top honors in the second annual Walter V. Shipley Business Leadership Case Competition. The team earned the grand prize of $20,000 for its analysis of the selected case, which examined leadership and ethical issues surrounding Africa’s pharmaceutical business in the wake of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Before selecting the competition winners, a panel of judges rigorously questioned team members Tagir Dindarov, Peter Fok, David Goldberg, C. Russell McLemore and Anant Singh, all ’04, at the JPMorgan Chase headquarters. Wharton, Chicago, Kellogg, Darden and Stern were also represented in the competition.
