On May 25, 2011, David E. Weinstein, Carl S. Shoup Professor of the Japanese Economy at Columbia University and Associate Director for Research at CJEB, was interviewed on Bloomberg's Hays Advantage program on the outlook for the Japanese economy following the March 11 Tohoku earthquake.  This was preceded by an interview with Irene Finel-Honigman, adjunct professor of International Affairs at Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs, about French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde's bid to replace Dominique Strauss-Kahn as head of the International Monetary Fund.
