Professor Gabriel Weintraub, along with Professor Vivek Farias of MIT Sloan and DRO PhD student Denis Saure, won second place in the 2009 Junior Faculty Interest Group (JFIG) Paper Competition, for their paper "The Linear Programming Approach to Solving Large Scale Dynamic Stochastic Games."  Professor Nicolas Stier Moses was named a finalist along with his co-authors, Professors Jose Correa and Nicolas Figueroa, both of the Universidad de Chile, for their paper "Pricing with Markups in Industries with Increasing Marginal Costs." The goals of the paper competition are to encourage research among junior faculty and to increase the visibility of research conducted by junior faculty within the fields of operations research and management science. The DRO division extends its congratulations to Professors Weintraub and Stier and to Denis on their accomplishments.
