Fortune and Business Week Covers Feature Alumni Sallie Krawcheck and Lewis Frankfort

Some familiar Columbia Business School faces graced the covers of two leading business magazines earlier this month. In the same week, Fortune and Business Week featured, respectively, Columbia Business School graduates Sallie Krawcheck ’92, chairman and CEO of Smith Barney, and Lewis Frankfort ’69, CEO of Coach.

Some familiar Columbia Business School faces graced the covers of two leading business magazines earlier this month. In the same week, Fortune and Business Week featured, respectively, Columbia Business School graduates Sallie Krawcheck ’92, chairman and CEO of Smith Barney, and Lewis Frankfort ’69, CEO of Coach. Fortune’s profile of Krawcheck examined the remarkable strides she has made in her career and the challenges that she faces as CEO of Smith Barney. Business Week singled out Coach as a hot growth company; Frankfort’s makeover of the luxury goods retailer is credited with attracting a hip, young customer base.
