Leaders
Anna C. Coatsworth ’01
Anna Coatsworth is founder and managing partner of AJEA Real Estate Advisory, where she provides advisory services mainly to international buyers of multi-family and residential real estate properties in the New York City area.
Previously, after obtaining her MBA from Columbia Business School in 2001, she spent eight years as a management consultant at Capgemini, where she worked with Fortune 100 clients in the Financial Services industry to maximize operational efficiencies. Prior to business school, Anna was a Senior Marketing Associate in Equity Research at Santander Investment Securities, where she also published articles in Emerging Markets research reports on market-moving political events. She has served as Special Assistant to the President of the Council of the Americas, and as Editorial Assistant at the Council on Foreign Relations.
In addition to her MBA from Columbia, Anna holds a B.A. in History and M.A. in International Relations from New York University. Originally from Chicago, where she was a professional ballet dancer, Anna is on the Board of Directors of Tom Gold Dance and is a member of the Hermes Society of Columbia Business School. She is a licensed real estate broker in New York.
Gentry Ashmore Hoit ’90
Gentry Ashmore Hoit is a Partner of GreenOak, based in New York. Gentry focuses on new client relationships and new business initiatives, working closely with the founding partners to cover investors globally.
Prior to joining GreenOak, Gentry was a Partner of Park Madison Partners, a boutique real estate capital advisory firm. Gentry focused on fundraising at Park Madison and led the firm’s Capital Advisory practice. Previously, Gentry was a Partner at Atlantic Assets Group (AAG), a private investment company dedicated to mixed-use and residential investment and redevelopment, and a Senior Partner at Rubenstein Partners, a private real estate investment fund focused on office acquisitions and redevelopment. Gentry began her career with the Shorenstein Company and served in various positions from the inception of the company’s investment management business through seven consecutive investment funds. She served as a Managing Director, led east coast acquisitions for the firm’s Capital Transactions Group and was a member of the Executive Committee. During her time at Shorenstein, Gentry acquired approximately 16 million square feet valued at nearly $4.0 billion and raised over $1.8 billion in debt financing.
Gentry received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration, with concentrations in real estate and finance, from Columbia University. She is a full member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and currently serves as Chairman of its UDMUC Blue Product Council. Gentry is also a current member and former mentor of WX (Women Executives in Real Estate), and she is also a member of PoWRE.
Demetrios Yatrakis ’10
Demetrios Yatrakis is a partner at Lonicera Partners, a private real estate investment and development company in Brooklyn. He leads the firm's real estate acquisitions, investor relations, and property management. Previously, Yatrakis served as a senior executive at his family’s office, Granite International Management, where he was responsible for property management and repositioning assets. Before that, he worked in a finance and operations position at Genco Shipping and Trading public dry bulk ship owning company.
Lonicera Partners focuses on sourcing and executing institutional-grade investments while sustaining long-term value for its assets and the neighborhoods in which it invests. Lonicera is currently developing over 350,000 square feet of real estate in Downtown Brooklyn and surrounding neighborhoods, nearing $350 million of total costs. Some notable projects are 415 Red Hook Lane and 153 Remsen Street in Downtown Brooklyn and Brooklyn Heights respectively.
A lifelong New Yorker, Yatrakis lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son. He graduated from Columbia College with a BA in history in 2005 and received his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2010. An active member of the local community he is the Chair of the Atlantic Avenue Business Improvement District (BID), a member of Packer Collegiate Institute's Board of Trustees, and recently joined the Board of SCO Family of Services. He also was selected to serve on Columbia College's Core to Commencement Steering Committee. Previously, Yatrakis worked with the International Rescue Committee as the director of Soccer Without Borders and he has served as a member of the Prospect Park Development Committee.

Jessica Sherman ’16
Jessica Sherman joined Douglaston Development in 2016 as a Project Manager in the Affordable Housing team and brings over 5 years of project management experience to the company. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Sherman worked as a Leadership Fellow at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, focusing on regional infrastructure management and development. She was also previously a Senior Product Manager at Amazon. Ms. Sherman holds a M.B.A. from Columbia School of Business, a M.Sc. in Social Policy from the University of Oxford, and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She is the Chair of the Advisory Council for the Fund for Public Housing and sits on the junior board of Reclaim Childhood.
