On November 29th, the Real Estate Association hosted the annual Real Estate Alumni event at the headquarters of Vornado Realty Trust in midtown. This year, the REA honored adjunct professor Jeffrey A. Barclay ’83, Managing Director and Head of Acquisitions at ING Clarion Partners. Mr. Jeffrey Barclay currently serves as adjunct professor at the Business School and co-teaches the Master Class in Real Estate Investment with Camille Douglas. Mr. Barclay is also a founding member of the Real Estate Alumni Circle, a network of MBA alumni who support student fellowships and participate in executive education and events. At ING, Mr. Barclay directs the firm’s private investment activity throughout the United States and Mexico, including investments in office, retail, apartment, industrial and storage properties.  Close to 200 former Columbia Business School students attended the cocktail event, along with several real estate faculty members and business school staff from the external relations office and the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate. Chris Mayer, Paul Milstein Professor of Real Estate and Director of the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate offered opening remarks and presented the award to Mr. Barclay.
