A reception and seminar were held on April 25, 2006 to honor Peter Kolesar's life and work at Columbia University over the last 40 years. Having earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in the Columbia School of Engineering and Applied Science in 1959 and his Doctorate from the same school in 1964 before serving on the faculty of Columbia's Industrial Engineering and Operations Research Department between 1964 and 1976, Peter's legacy and contributions to the Columbia community long predate his 1976 arrival at the Business School. His impact on the division, however, as a teacher, researcher and colleague, has been deeply felt over the years and we congratulate him on his Columbia career and retirement.
