Professor Carri Chan, together with DRO PhD student Wenqi Hu and co-authors Jose Zubizarreta (Harvard Medical School) and Gabriel Escobar (Kaiser Permanente) have written An Examination of Early Transfers to the ICU Based on a Physiologic Risk Score (MSOM, to appear). The paper was a runner-up in the 2017 INFORMS Pierskalla Award for the Best Paper in Healthcare and was a Finalist in the 2017 MSOM Student Paper Competition.
