Prof. Doron Nissim has won the Stan Ross Department of Accountancy Prize for Outstanding Academic Contribution to Practice for his paper, “Taxable Income, Future Earnings, and Equity Values”; (co-author: Baruch Lev). The prize is sponsored by the American Accounting Association, Baruch College and FERF (Financial Executive Research Foundation). The $5,000 prize was awarded as the article from those published in the 2004 Accounting Review “which had the greatest import for users and preparers of financial reports.” The author(s) will present the paper at the November 4, 2005 Zicklin School of Business Third Annual Academe Meets Practice Conference. Representatives of AAA, FERF, FASB and the SEC will comment on the paper and its applicability to practice.
