The Columbia Business School Real Estate Association is excited to announce the debut of its new Alumni Mentorship Program for first-year MBA students.    The goal of the program is to match  first-year MBA students who have demonstrated interest in real estate with an alumnus in the industry.  By allowing for one-on-one connections, the REA  hopes to provide opportunities for students to learn about job opportunities in the industry and promote the pursuit of careers in real estate.  The focus of the program is on career development and is not intended to be tied to an internship or job opportunity.   The program will consist of two face-to-face meetings per semester, with additional contact through phone and email.  As the student mentees are in their first year, the goal is that that the mentor-mentee relationship will extend over the entire period of the students’ studies at Columbia Business School. A kick-off event is anticipated to be held in mid-November to allow the alumni Mentors and student mentees to meet.   If you are a CBS alumnus who has graduated in the past ten years and are interesting in serving as a mentor please contact Nicola Usher, assistant director of the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate at nmu2101columbia.edu
