Science Meets Practice Workshop Series 2009
"Science Meets Practice" is a speaker series launched this spring that brings together hands-on leadership training and breaking insights in psychology research. This series is part of the PSI initiative to develop students' leadership abilities in ways that go beyond what we can do in traditional classes.
The Spring 2009 workshops feature a prominent expert in a particular area of leadership/management practice and a management professor who has done research in that area. The practitioner delivers interactive instruction in skills that have proven effective in the business world; the faculty member discusses the research that helps explain why these methods work.
