The Entrepreneurial Sounding Board has grown to be one of our most popular initiatives at the School, offering students and alumni the opportunity to discuss their ventures with practitioners affiliated with Columbia Business School's entrepreneurial community. During a 30 minute confidential session, a Sounding Board practitioner provides feedback, next-step action items and, in many cases, contacts who can provide additional support. A Sounding Board session is often the first step in the development of a business plan; students and alumni at any stage of concept development, can take advantage of The Sounding Board.Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Clifford Schorer created the Sounding Board and notes, “We have witnessed an increase in demand from students, and alumni a few years out, wanting guidance on their ventures regardless of the stage of development. The Sounding Board is also a great way for alumni to become more involved with the School and give back by advising a young entrepreneur on their concepts" said Schorer. "The program has grown to be an invaluable resource that we are very proud of” he added. The Fall Sounding Board schedule will be available on September 12. To learn more about the practitioners and to sign up for a slot, visit The Sounding Board page.If you would like to become a Sounding Board practitioner, please email your interest and brief biography to entprogcolumbia.edu.
