2012-13 Real Estate Association Board Election Results

The Columbia Business School Real Estate Association is pleased to announce the co-presidents and vice presidents elected for the 2012-13 academic year. The officers, all in the class of 2013, were elected by the REA membership.

The Columbia Business School Real Estate Association (REA) is pleased to announce the co-presidents and vice presidents elected for the 2012-13 academic year. The officers, all in the class of 2013, were elected by the REA membership. Assistant vice presidents will be elected from the incoming class in the fall. Alumni interested in working with the REA or who would like to be included in any REA-led alumni activities should contact the REA co-presidents or the VPs of alumni relations using the e-mail links below.

Co-Presidents

Andy Stone graduated with honors from Arizona State University where he was a Provost Scholar.  Prior to business school, he worked in the Transaction Advisory Services – Real Estate Group at Ernst & Young.  This summer, Andy will be interning as a summer associate in the Acquisitions and Asset Management Group at Rialto Capital Management.

Jeff Organisciak graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science.  Prior to business school, he served as Asset Management Officer at ING Clarion.  This summer, Jeff will be a summer associate in Equity Sales at Eastdil Secured.

Co-VPs of Careers

Matt Giammanco graduated with distinction from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, minoring in Economics and International Business.  Upon graduating, Matt worked in the Transaction Advisory Services – Real Estate Group at Ernst & Young.  This summer, Matt will be a summer associate in the Investment Management Division of Goldman Sachs.

Andrew Joyner graduated with honors from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  Upon graduating, Andrew served as an investment analyst in the Real Estate Investment Division of OMERS Pension Fund.  Beginning in 2007, he worked as an associate in Real Estate Investment Management at Hines the in London office. This summer, Andrew will be a summer associate in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs.

Co-Vice Presidents of Alumni & Mentorship

Adam Cohen graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and International Business.  Upon graduating, he performed acquisitions and project management for 806 Capital, a private equity and development fund in Philadelphia.  Later, he worked for Argus Software, handling consulting, sales, and product management pertaining to the Argus Developer product.  Over the past three years, Adam ran Darwin Capital Management, acquiring, renovating, and renting single-family homes in the South Jersey market.

Erik Steiner graduated with honors from Hamilton College with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Hispanic Studies and minoring in Economics.  Prior to business school, Erik worked in various capacities for RCG LLC, a full-service family real estate firm in Boston.  This summer, Erik will be interning with UDR in Denver with the acquisitions/asset management team.

VP of Site Tours

Hilary Davidson graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Art History.  Upon graduating, Hilary worked as operations analyst and later trading assistant at QVT Financial LP, a multi-strategy hedge fund.  Prior to business school, she served as senior associate at Hypatia Capital Group, a start-up private equity firm.  Hillary is a 2012 WX Scholarship Recipient.
