Dean Glenn Hubbard has announced the appointment of Beatrice Ellerin, known as Bunny, as Director of the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management (HPM) Program, effective September 1. Cliff Cramer, who created the HPM Program in 2006, will continue to support the program as an adjunct professor and mentor to students and alumni.

As director of the HPM Program, Ellerin will handle a variety of strategic, curricular, and industry outreach initiatives, working closely with students, faculty and staff members, and alumni. She has more than 20 years of experience as a senior healthcare executive, working in both large public companies and venture-backed startups. She was most recently president of Ellerin Health Media, helping clients with product strategy, market entry, business development, strategic communications, and digital marketing. Prior to that, she was senior vice president at Intouch Solutions, managing director at InterbrandHealth, and an executive at a number of venture-backed healthcare companies.

In 1999, Ellerin founded the Harvard Business School Healthcare Alumni Association, now one of the largest alumni groups at HBS. She holds a BA in political science from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In addition to her new role as director of the HPM Program, Ellerin will continue to serve as the co-founder and president of New York City Health Business Leaders, providing students and alumni with enhanced networking opportunities.

“I know everyone in the program is excited to work with Bunny, and I hope you will join me in welcoming her to the School,” said Dean Hubbard. “And I would like to thank Cliff for the strong foundation he created and for his leadership in this program to date. I look forward to the continued progress of this program and to the ongoing development of this important area of study at the School.”

The HPM Program is one of the largest and most innovative healthcare programs among top-tier global business schools and an important area of study at the School. The Program offers a strong curriculum in theory and practice, engages alumni, builds strong and sustainable relationships with leading healthcare enterprises, and facilitates employment opportunities for Columbia students.
