In last year's lecture, Abe's Gone... Is the LDP Next?, Professor Curtis provided analysis following on Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's resignation. With Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda having just announced his own resignation and the Democratic Party of Japan looking to gain control of the Lower House in next year's parliamentary elections, Professor Curtis's lecture will once again shed light on a tumultuous time in Japanese politics.
This lecture will be moderated by Professor Hugh T. Patrick, Director of the Center on Japanese Economy and Business.
