Nearly 700 students, faculty members, alumni and guests attended the EMBA class of 2006AB graduation ceremony on May 20 in the Miller Theatre.

“Their achievement — completing one of the most rigorous programs in the world — is all the more remarkable in that they are working executives, many with families,” said Associate Dean Ethan R. Hanabury.

More than 100 graduates from the EMBA class of 2006 clusters A and B — students who began at the School in September 2004 — participated in the event. A reception at Revson Plaza followed the ceremony. Dean Glenn Hubbard delivered a keynote address on the transformative role of business in society. Amir Ziv, vice dean and professor of accounting, was selected by students to receive the Executive MBA Award for Commitment to Excellence.

Cie-Jai Brown ’06 and Alex Baxter ’06 were presented with Executive MBA Distinguished Service Awards, and James Lee ’06 received the Executive MBA Award for Academic Excellence. A graduation ceremony for the class of 2006CD — EMBA students who began in January 2005 — will take place in October.
