Aaron Kazam ’15 Awarded PREA Scholarship

Aaron Kazam '15, co-president of the Real Estate Association (REA), has been awarded a Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) scholarship for the 2014-15 academic year.

Aaron Kazam '15 has been awarded a Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) scholarship for the 2014-15 academic year. In addition to the scholarship, the award offers the recipient the opportunity to be partnered with an industry professional to participate in a one-on-one mentoring experience. Scholarship recipients are also provided with complimentary conference registration at the Annual Institutional Investor Real Estate Conference, which will take place in the fall in Los Angeles. During this conference, scholarship recipients are acknowledged at the PREA dinner. Kazam will serve as one of the Real Estate Association co-presidents for 2014-15.  

Aaron has also been named an International Council of Shopping Centers Foundation Grossman Graduate Scholar. He has spent the summer of 2014 working on mixed-use acquisitions and development at Related Companies. Prior to attending Columbia Business School, Aaron worked as an architect for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in New York, designing high-rise buildings in New York and Asia. He earned his bachelor of architecture from Cornell University. After completing his MBA, Aaron plans to continue his career in real estate acquisitions and development. 

More about the PREA Scholarship - In keeping with its educational mission, the Pension Real Estate Association awards scholarships on an annual basis to promising students studying real estate at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
