Binu Nair has been named Chief of Staff of the Dean’s Office of Columbia Business School, effective September 8. Nair will be responsible for a variety of strategic, administrative, and operational functions for the faculty, staff, students, alumni, and senior administrators of Columbia Business School, as well as government and community leaders.
"I am pleased to welcome Binu Nair as chief of staff of the Dean’s Office," Dean Glenn Hubbard said. "She will be an integral part of our team and will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of the School."
Nair will be joining Columbia after a year and a half spent as a strategy and planning consultant at the Fordham University Graduate School of Business. While at Fordham, Nair worked in conjunction with their dean’s office, development office, and board of overseers to carry out benchmarking, strategic planning, and development activities. Prior to working at Fordham, Nair served in a variety of functions at asset management firms. Most recently, Nair served as vice president for product management at Deutsche Asset Management-DWS Investments in New York. Nair began her career as an analyst in several different departments of Scudder Kemper Investments before its acquisition and rebranding by Deutsche Asset Management, a division of Deutsche Bank. Nair holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BA in economics from Cornell University.
