Columbia Business School is pleased to announce the launch of its new Master Class program. Master Classes are project-based electives designed to challenge students to creatively integrate concepts learned across the core curriculum and apply them to contemporary business problems. Semester-long projects result in a managerial decision or recommendation. The program draws heavily on alumni and practitioners as teachers, project sponsors and mentors. Many of the Master Classes are integrally tied to external organizations that will evaluate and possibly adopt students’ recommendations. The first two Master Classes to be offered started this fall: Strategy Consulting Skills, taught by Professor Hitendra Wadhwa, and Educational Leadership Consulting Lab, taught by Professor Don Waite. In the spring and summer terms, additional Master Classes in entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing, operations and real estate will be introduced for both MBA and EMBA students.
