Columbia Business School proudly launches Columbia Ideas at Work, an online knowledge portal offering practical solutions and applications based on faculty research. A bridge between business research and practice, this initiative will enable business practitioners to access and apply ideas that are relevant to the challenges they face. The site offers three types of resources:

  • Research briefs that distill findings into practical applications
  • An online magazine featuring research summaries and faculty Q&As
  • A searchable research archive of faculty publications

The inaugural issue of the online magazine focuses on faculty research in the area of entrepreneurship. The issue includes a Q&A with Columbia Business School Dean Glenn Hubbard discussing progressive tax rates and their impact on entrepreneurs as well as feature articles on venture capital networks, pricing risk in venture capital and the impact of founder succession. Columbia Ideas at Work offers faculty members’ research findings on topics ranging from accounting to world business. The online magazine will be updated quarterly.
