New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has declared May 1 "Columbia Business School Day."
"In recognition of this important 90th anniversary and the 30th annual dinner, I hereby proclaim Monday, May 1, 2006, in the City of New York as 'Columbia Business School Day,'" reads Mayor Bloomberg’s proclamation. "I am pleased to send greetings to all those attending the 30th Columbia Business School annual dinner."
The 30th Annual Dinner is being held on May 1 at the Waldorf-Astoria, the traditional home of the dinner. Honorees Sidney Taurel '71, chairman and CEO of Eli Lilly and Company, and Robert B. Zoellick, deputy secretary of state, are receiving the School’s Distinguished Leadership Award for business and government, respectively.
