A record-breaking number of alumni and guests — nearly 2,000 — returned to campus over the weekend of April 23–25 to celebrate Reunion 2010. Recent graduates from the class of 2009 had an excellent turnout for their first-year reunion with almost 400 alumni and guests in attendance. The celebration weekend included institutional and industry-based events at the Business School as well as networking and social festivities off campus. Classes, a career workshop, alumni panels and an update on the planned Manhattanville campus took place at the School on April 23 and 24. Many of the classroom events were sold out, including a presentation on managing risk in investment portfolios by Bruce Greenwald, the Robert Heilbrunn Professor of Finance and Asset Management and director of the Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing.

This year was the first time the School highlighted presentations based on case studies from Columbia CaseWorks. Laurie Hodrick, author of the case study "Don't Be Evil: Google’s 2004 Dutch Auction Initial Public Offering," gave a well-received lecture in Uris Hall. She is the A. Barton Hepburn Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Business. Murray Low, the director of the Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center, also gave a presentation on the investment case study "PieSky Ventures."

Off campus, more than 1,000 alumni and guests attended an all-class welcome reception at Cipriani 42nd Street and nearly 1,800 alumni and guests attended class dinners at Pier 60, Chelsea Brewing Company and on the Atlantica yacht. Families were invited for brunch at Bryant Park Grill on the final day of Reunion 2010. Dean Glenn Hubbard hosted a special luncheon for members of the class of 1960 in honor of their 50th reunion. The current president of the Graduate Business Association, Brannon Lacey '10, attended the luncheon as well.
