Columbia Business School is pleased to announce that it has joined The Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability (ARCS) as an Institutional Member. ARCS is a consortium of universities and individuals, and serves as a professional society of scholars studying the interface between business and sustainability. ARCS provides data, tools, and networking opportunities to researchers who are developing a greater understanding of the opportunities and limits of policies and strategies to foster sustainable business. In addition to Columbia Business School, ARCS currently has 19 Institutional Members including Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Harvard, HEC Paris, MIT, Stockholm School of Economics, UC Berkeley, and Yale.

Vanessa Burbano, Columbia Business School Professor and Faculty Program Lead for the new Climate Change and Business Program through the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise, will serve on the ARCS Board of Directors and is proud that Columbia Business School is joining this partnership.

"Joining ARCS as an institutional member was a natural step for CBS given the school’s commitment to and involvement with business sustainability issues. I am honored to be representing CBS on the ARCS Board of Directors."
