James Wu

James leads the delivery of leadership and career coaching services for the Columbia Business School Executive MBA (EMBA) community. He is an International Coaching Federation (ICF-PCC) certified executive coach and advises clients on all areas of leadership development, career transition, and work-life integration. James is driven by a deep desire to help leaders see themselves with clarity and make conscious choices that positively impact their communities. In addition, James is a core faculty member of the coaching certification program at Columbia Teachers College, where he trains executives on foundational coaching competencies and supervises their business development and certification processes.

Prior to joining Columbia, James was a strategy and management consultant at Deloitte, where he focused on strategy and innovation projects in the high tech and human capital space. He holds an MBA (2013) from Columbia Business School, an executive coaching certification from Columbia Teachers College, and a BA in Economics from Yale University.
