Soemanta Mendez

As the Director of Budget Operations and Analysis, Soemanta provides high-level support with special emphasis on financial and operations management of departmental budgets under Curriculum & Programs, this includes budgeting, forecasting, tuition and partnership program expense reconciliation, student billing, and accounts payable. She also manages the third-party billing process for incoming EMBA students.

Soemanta started at the Business School in September 2008. She was part of the Financial Planning office working as the Assistant Director of Accounts Payable until 2016. Soemanta then joined the EMBA team as the Senior Associate Director of Operations and Student Services until April 2024. 

Soemanta holds a B.A. in Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude in Business Management) from Monroe College, a Master of Arts degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University (2017), as well as a Master of Science degree in Human Capital Management from Columbia University (2021).

Soemanta enjoys spending time with her family, especially going on Caribbean vacations with her husband, son, and daughter.
