Ted Wohlsen is a Technical Specialist in the Information Technology Group. Ted works in a client facing role, enabling professors and classes to smoothly integrate the hybrid in-person/online environments into their teaching style. Prior to joining Columbia Business School in November 2021, Ted was the Chief Audio Visual Technician for CWT Productions, working in the corporate events sector for 18 years. Ted also has worked as a gold, platinum, and Grammy nominated recording engineer working with artists such as, Björk, Tom Jones, Wyclef Jean, Wu Tang Clan, 50 Cent, Big Pun, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliot, and many others. Ted holds a Bachelor's in Music and Sound Recording from the University of New Haven, and Masters in Childhood Education from Hunter College, City University of New York. In his spare time, Ted is an avid sailor and bike rider, which he uses to commute to work from Staten Island. Ted also been involved in the underground hardcore punk scene from a young age, singing for a number of bands, touring Europe and Japan and recording several records, which he continues to do to this day.
