“I just want to share a heartfelt and sincere thank you to my amazing scholarship benefactors who truly are making my Columbia Business School experience possible. This award has allowed me to focus wholeheartedly on my studies, extracurricular activities, and on professional recruiting. It has provided me with the freedom to explore diverse academic opportunities, engage in leadership roles, and participate in activities that enrich my MBA experience beyond the classroom. I could not be more grateful.” – Griffin Gerchman, Class of 2025
“My scholarship has enriched and empowered my MBA experience. It not only reduces my financial burden and helps me concentrate on my academics, but also motivates me to support my peers and cultivate a cohesive community. Living and studying in New York can be a dream, but it can be difficult given how expensive this city is. The support from CBS helps make this dream come true. I feel grateful every day, not only for the fact that I can study with some of the brightest minds in our generation, but also for all of the support I’ve been given. Thank you.” – Shih Ching Kao, Class of 2025
“The Consortium scholarship has been more than just financial aid; it's been a transformative factor in my academic journey. It connected me with a dynamic network of peers who, like me, are passionate about enhancing diversity and inclusion in global business leadership. The impact went beyond the campus--I pursued enriching travel experiences, exposing me to different cultures and perspectives. This immersion not only broadened my global mindset but also fueled meaningful personal and professional growth.” – Jeffrey McClellan, Class of 2024

Sonia Kim, PhD Class of 2024
“In 2018, I was thrilled to hear that I was admitted to CBS because I aspired to work with the amazing CBS faculty. Despite my excitement, I was aware that CBS was in Manhattan, and the cost of living was something I could not ignore when deciding which program to attend. Thanks to the financial support provided by CBS through a stipend, I could gladly accept the admission and come to CBS, and I can’t imagine how my life would have been otherwise.”

Mac McCann, Class of 2024
“Without Columbia Business School, I would never have been able to secure a job on Citi's Real Estate, Gaming, and Lodging Investment Banking team. Prior to CBS, I worked as an on-site Project Engineer at my family's construction company, Donley's, specializing in concrete services, restoration, parking garages, and more. Columbia Business School's Paul Milstein Center, Career Management Center, and Investment Banking Club were instrumental to help me pivot from the "Concrete to Wall Street" as I pursued a job in finance post-MBA. They connected me with the proper resources, provided well-timed guidance, and, simply put, opened doors into new career opportunities.”
Yellow Ribbon
CBS recognizes the immense value that military veterans bring to the MBA program. We are proud to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program in partnership with the Veterans Administration to provide financial aid for our veteran students. Through the generosity of our alumni and friends, CBS supported more than 50 veteran students in 2023-24.
“The impact of the Yellow Ribbon Program cannot be overstated. It provided me with the financial stability and peace of mind needed to fully immerse myself in the rich academic offerings and vibrant networking opportunities that Columbia Business School has to offer.” - Yellow Ribbon Recipient, Class of 2024
