Awarded annually since 2010, the Deming Cup recognizes exemplary leaders for outstanding merit in operations following Deming's principles. This year's Deming Cup will be held Tuesday, October 24.

The Deming Center

The W. Edwards Deming Center sponsors applied research, disseminates best practices, supports focused education and professional development, and fosters partnerships with companies in the area of operational excellence. Below are a few of the Center's initiatives:

Deming Forums and Lectures

Deming Forums are annual one-day workshops offered to alumni and executives affiliated with the Deming Center. They are invite-only events dedicated to senior-level managers and high-potential employees across industries. The Deming Center also hosts seminars and lectures open to students, alumni, faculty, and executives, discussing various aspects of operational excellence.

Entrepreneurship Programs

The center's Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness programs serve entrepreneurs in Africa, Latin America, and the United States seeking to expand and improve their midsized companies and better compete in today's global landscape.

To become a Deming Center affiliate, visit business.columbia.edu/demingcenter. Please make your nominations here before June 15. Nominees across all sectors are welcome.
