The Executive MBA class of 2012 recently announced the faculty members chosen for this year’s Margaret K. Chandler Commitment to Excellence Awards. This year’s EMBA class honored Gailen Hite, associate professor of finance and economics, for his teaching in the spring term of EMBA-New York; Donna Hitscherich, senior lecturer in discipline in business and director of the Private Equity Program, for the Berkeley-Columbia Program; Paul Ingram, Kravis Professor of Business, for EMBA-Global Asia; and Amir Ziv, professor of accounting, vice dean, and Samberg faculty director, for EMBA-Global Americas and Europe.“The EMBA-Global Asia Program is wonderful to teach in because the students are both experienced in business and open to learning from other cultures,” Ingram said. “The class performs at a very high level, and I was honored to be recognized by them with this award.”The award was established by the EMBA graduating class of 1991 to honor the memory of the late Margaret K. Chandler, a longtime member of the School’s faculty in the Management Division. It recognizes a current member of the faculty or administration for his or her contributions to the class and the EMBA Program to commemorate the high standards set by Chandler. EMBA students vote for the awards with a majority rule.
