NEW YORK — Columbia Business School announced the appointment of Devon Briger '99; Erika Irish Brown '98; and Jake Reynolds '97 to the Columbia Business School Board. Over the course of their terms, Briger, Brown, and Reynolds will focus on helping Columbia Business School drive the future of business education, scholarship, and leadership in New York City and around the world. Each will work closely with senior leadership on key initiatives, participate in School-wide conferences and events, and continue to strengthen the bonds between the School, the alumni base, and the larger business community.
"Devon, Erika, and Jake are all accomplished leaders with a tremendous amount of expertise in their respective fields, and we are thrilled to welcome them to our Board," said Costis Maglaras, Dean and the David and Lyn Silfen Professor of Business at Columbia Business School. "Their unique knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we continue to focus on the most transformative areas of business, including the digital future, climate and sustainability, entrepreneurship and innovation, 21st century finance, and the role of business in society." Expanding the Board’s expertise across these priorities is an immediate goal of the School.

Devon Briger '99 is the director of service delivery for The Acceleration Project, a non-profit small business advisory firm that is mission driven with an emphasis to support minority small business owners. Previously, she was the co-founder and CFO of Project Juice, a health and wellness company selling plant-based nutrition. Prior to working for Project Juice, she spent five years as an account manager at Microsoft Corporation and later was a product manager for Kraft Foods. Briger currently serves as an executive committee member of the board of trustees and chairs the development committee for the Sacred Heart Schools in Atherton. She also serves as the vice chair of the board of trustees for The Child Mind Institute.
Erika Irish Brown '98 is Citi’s chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer and global head of talent, responsible for developing global diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and driving Citi’s agenda on talent planning, succession planning and leadership development. Prior to joining Citi, Brown was chief diversity officer at Goldman Sachs from 2018 to 2021 and global head of diversity and inclusion at Bloomberg from 2015 to 2018. Prior to this, she led executive and diversity hiring efforts at Bank of America and Lehman Brothers. Brown’s background includes a range of banking and finance roles, including head of business development for Black Entertainment Television, senior associate in high yield capital markets at Morgan Stanley and senior policy analyst for domestic finance for the United States Department of the Treasury. She began her career as an analyst in public finance at Lehman Brothers. Erika is vice chair of the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation and serves on the board of the Riverside Hawks.
Jake Reynolds '97 is a general partner at TCV, a global growth equity firm focused on software and internet investing based in Menlo Park, CA with offices in New York and London. Reynolds has been a technology investor for over 30 years with an investment focus in enterprise software and SaaS. He has been actively involved with over 40 private company software investments in his career spanning both minority and majority transactions. Reynolds joined TCV in 1997 as an associate, became a general partner in 1999, and from 2010 until 2021 was a member of the firm’s executive committee with oversight for strategy and management of the firm and its funds. During that time, TCV increased assets under management from $5 billion to $26 billion and expanded beyond North America to become a global investment firm. Prior to TCV, Reynolds was a software investor at growth equity firm General Atlantic Partners and an investment banker at Lazard Freres & Co. In addition to the Columbia Business School Board, Reynolds serves on the board of advisors for the Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship at Dartmouth College. He formerly served on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Peninsula and as a trustee at Holderness School in Plymouth, NH, and board chair at Menlo School in Atherton, CA.
