Effective July 1, the Columbia-Harlem Small Business Development Center will move to Columbia Business School from the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science. The center is a part of the New York State Small Business Development Center network, which comprises 24 centers statewide in support of small businesses and local community economic development.

The Columbia-Harlem Center offers the intellectual resources of Columbia University through training, workshops, and one-to-one business coaching. Since its inception in 2009, the center has worked directly with more than 700 businesses, helping to invest more than $5 million dollars in the local economy, and has created or saved more than 220 jobs. The center will be located in Room 310 in Uris Hall on the University’s Morningside Heights campus.

More information about the Columbia-Harlem Small Business Development Center and upcoming events are available on the center’s website. For small business owners interested in making an appointment with a counselor, please call 212-854-6444 or e-mail sbdccolumbia.edu.
