Columbia Business School is proud and pleased to share news that Eugene Song '04, and Columbia Medical and Law Schools graduate, Snehal Patel, join the 2009 Kauffman Fellows class, the latest of alumni from several of Columbia University graduate schools who make a strong  presence as Fellows and Mentors in this esteemed program in the venture capital industry.

The mission of the Kauffman Fellows Program is to identify, develop, and  network emerging global leaders in venture capital. Success for us means enabling entrepreneurs to build stronger, more enduring companies and, correspondingly, allowing venture investors to realize enhanced returns. Working full-time at a venture capital firm, each Kauffman Fellow engages in a practical, 24-month apprenticeship including professional coaching, mentoring by senior partners, and quarterly sessions of industry and leadership curriculum. As members of the Society of Kauffman Fellows throughout their careers, fellows join a trusted network -- in Silicon Valley and across 5 continents -- that links together 500 individuals at 140 investing firms who are actively deploying $40B in venture capital. Insights are shared, resources are made available, and opportunities can be efficiently vetted and syndicated.
